FINAL DESIGN PROJECT, Aesthetics

Final project for Aesthetics Class, taken senior year at Auburn University. Project requirements included:

  • Choose well-known company
  • Determine company's target market, including demographics and psychographics
  • Research products that fit into company's existing merchandise mix
  • Forecast trends for upcoming season, 1-2 years out
  • Create mood board using Adobe Photoshop; include trend-relevant color preferences & images to portray general feeling of line
  • Design textiles using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
  • Create flats for garments using Adobe Illustrator for line work and Adobe Photoshop to fill garments
  • Choose fabric types
  • Hand-sketch garments to show fit and movement

Company was chosen for aesthetic, quality commitment, & philanthropic interest. 

"ORGANIC GEOMETRY" personal design project, Aesthetics

Garment Construction, AMDA Fashion Show

  • Design concept was created to portray Japanese origami, through pleated fabric
  • Full skirt is bunched at back
    • Circumference of skirt is more than 6 yards
    • Hand-sewn & hand-dyed neon green lace placed at hem
  • Top uses pleating techniques

All techniques were self-taught and included pattern drafting & draping.
